The vast majority of our fleet consists of modern Euro 6 engines, but the auditor rarely sees this. Many companies still drive older cars because it is still allowed. The training of the drivers was also mentioned as a plus.

Planning all transport movements with so many daily loads is a challenge. For De Jong Packaging it is almost normal to work together with external transporters, so that you drive fewer empty kilometers and also have fewer trucks on the road. However, the planners have to get this done. This is easier to organize in the Westland, because Vreugdenhil, for example, collects the products from many gardeners. It is in everyone’s interest if that truck can immediately take the empty boxes with him. This in turn saves trucks at the dock and reduces the number of transport movements.
