7 New trucks
27 July 2022 Last Saturday, De Jong Verpakking received seven new trucks of the DAF XF 450 FT Super Space Cab type. The keys were festively handed over by Truckland to the drivers on Saturday 23 July in the presence of Dick Schep and Merlin de Jong.
Early in the morning at Truckland in Rotterdam South, the seven new trucks were lined up in the sun, waiting for proud drivers. After the festive reception and the transfer of the papers, the trucks left in a line to De Lier, where the corrugated cardboard factory of De Jong Verpakking is located. Commercial Director Ronald de Wildt: “Our customers demand fast and flexible deliveries of their packaging and with these new trucks we can serve our customers in the fresh produce and industry even better.”
The seven new trucks will be used both to expand and replace the current fleet. In total, De Jong Verpakking’s fleet will soon amount to 46 of its own trucks.
