FEFCO book

FEFCO has also worked a lot on standardization in the form of the FEFCO book. Many different constructions are described in the FEFCO manual. Based on the FEFCO numbers, you can look up which construction fits in the manual. It is also very practical the other way around. You can search the manual for images and find the appropriate FEFCO code. This way, as a supplier, we know how to make the best packaging.

The different FEFCO codes

FEFCO 0201

The FEFCO book is made up of different series. The most commonly used code in the Netherlands is the FEFCO 0201. This code is used for the standard cardboard box with flaps at the bottom and top. You have to seal this FEFCO 0201 with tape. This code is also known as folding box.

FEFCO 0200 and FEFCO 0203

The codes FEFCO 0200 and FEFCO 0203 are very similar to this variant. The FEFCO 0200 is a variant without valves at the top. This is widely used in supermarkets where products can be taken straight out of the box. The FEFCO 0203 is a variant with skip valves. This makes this construction extra sturdy.

FEFCO 0427

The FEFCO 0427 is a construction that you have to fold and where you do not need tape.
