Installation of 2 new BOIX machines
17 April 2020 Last weeks De Jong Packaging delivered and installed 2 new BOIX FP4-2M erecting machines at Cool Port. This was a very special project, because the machines had to be lifted to a height of 8m through a specially made hole in the wall.
Cool Port had already been working on the preparations for a few days. All electricity and pneumatics had to be installed. Also the hole in the wall had to be cut. On the day the machines were lifted to the top, Arie, service engineer at De Jong Verpakking, was a bit nervous, but after a good preparation everything worked out fine. The erecting machines went through the hole lengthwise, leaving little free space. The 2 new erecting machines will work at Cool Port as an extension and will double their capacity in erecting boxes.
