Expansion

It’s been a journey from the demolition of Hall D in September 2020 to the grand opening in January 2024. The need for additional capacity and the growing demand for cartonboard were the driving forces behind this transformation. What started with the demolition of a hall turned into the construction of Europe’s most modern corrugated board plant. Now, with automated processes on two levels, new machinery and docks on each level, our facility is a symbol of the factory of the future.

Sustainable construction

Sustainability was at the forefront of the construction. The new building represents not only a transformation from a truck parking lot to a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, but also one of the most sustainable structures in the region. With a focus on sustainable materials, waste heat recovery, and the installation of 3.8 MWp of solar panels, our facility sets an example for green building.

The building process was fascinating. We’ve created approximately 95,000 square feet of production space on two floors, with an additional four floors of office space. For those curious about the intricate details, we’ve produced several videos documenting the construction from start to finish.

Opening Factory 2

In January 2024, the new production facility was officially inaugurated. During these days, customers, business partners and family members of employees had the unique opportunity to explore the brand new production environment.
