FEFCO 0203

26 August 2022 In March 2022, FEFCO has launched their new book. All FEFCO codes can be found in this book. These are all standardizations of corrugated cardboard packaging and they are all provided with a code. This makes it clear to producers and users what they can expect from each other when they talk about a certain FEFCO design. A FEFCO 0203 is also discussed therein.

FEFCO 0201

The most commonly used code is a FEFCO 0201. This is a standard box with flaps at the bottom and top that you can close with tape. Many variations have been made on the basis of this 0201 standard. Without valves at the top you make a FEFCO 0200.

If you want to send heavier products, it can be a solution to use a FEFCO 0203. This has completely skip flaps and thus creates a double bottom. Due to this stronger bottom, the packaging can have a higher weight. Another reason could be that you have a print that should have no interruption.

Safe packaging in FEFCO 0203

An advantage of a double lid and double bottom is that it becomes difficult to open the packages. Because the flaps completely overlap, you cannot quickly slide the tape aside with your hand and then remove the items from the box.

It is also safer to use a FEFCO 0203 if you send fragile products as a webshop. Because a double lid and double bottom are used, the box can have more weight when it ends up in the postal process. It is twice as strong and therefore twice as safe.

FEFCO 0203 printing

We can print all our boxes. This is possible up to 4 colors and so you can clearly communicate all your messages. On corrugated cardboard it also looks durable and sleek. Do you want a photo printing? That is also possible at De Jong Verpakking if you use preprint. Do you want no printing at all? That is of course also possible. We produce around 2.5 million packs every day, so there’s a very good chance we can meet your expectations too.

Order FEFCO boxes

At De Jong Verpakking we produce many other constructions in addition to the FEFCO 0203 that can be found in the FEFCO book. But we can also help you if you have designed your own construction or if you need help with your own construction. Contact our colleagues if you want to order boxes or if you have any questions.
